Desert Off-Road

You climb into a convertible Bronco 4x4, the top opens to the Texas sky, and the asphalt falls away behind you. One hour on dirt tracks around San Angelo, out to the most remote corners of this hard, wild land, once home to the Comanche and the Apache. Along the way the West shows itself as it is: prickly pear, mesquite and yucca, and with a bit of luck roadrunners, deer, javelina and coyotes. Ride by day or by night, when the desert changes face and the sky fills with stars. In summer the West Texas sun cuts no slack: in the hottest hours the desert is no place to be, so summer rides head out at dawn or after sunset, with the best light and air you can actually breathe. On request, the ride turns into a real Western evening, with a cookout and a camp around the fire out in the desert. A safe adventure, made for the whole family.
